About Dr. Steven D. Kaplan
When Dr. Steven .D. Kaplan was in elementary school, there were two things he enjoyed; interacting with others and working with his hands by playing music and writing songs. He truly feels that these two loves led him to become a dentist. By the age of 11, he was already telling people he was going to become a dentist after he shadowed and assisted at his family’s dentist's office.
Dr. Kaplan got his undergraduate degree at The University College of Arts and Sciences at NYU, where he graduated Cum Laude. Thereafter, Dr. Kaplan attended The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and graduated with honors in Biochemistry. He was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honors society, of which he is still a member.
Dr. Kaplan achieved the status of chief resident of Endodontics at the Nassau County Medical Center in Long Island, NY, Assistant Professor of Endodontics at NYU Dental School, Associate attending at the Nassau County Medical Center, as well as published an article in The Journal of Oral Surgery and has been in private practice for 40 years.
Currently, Dr. Kaplan is a member of the Deans Policy Council at Touro College of Dental Medicine. He has lectured extensively on the topic of endodontics at several dental schools and study clubs as well as The Greater New York Dental Meeting. He is an esteemed member of several professional societies and has attained many honors in his field.
In his spare time, Dr. Kaplan enjoys writing songs and composing his own music. Spending time with his family and volunteering in his community
